RadioShack lets you hack

Radioshack’s heritage began with do-it-yourself electronics and projects. With the rise of hackerspaces, Maker Faire, and Instructables, we wanted to stay in the conversation by launching “The Great Create,” a call to action for makers to submit their projects to be showcased on RadioShack and shared with the maker community. We had makers create real-life QR codes that we shot and ran in WIRED magazine, and when scanned, they took you to the making-of videos on the RadioShack website.

(That’s me on the right, filling in as a model to show scale!)

We decided to use the banner ads as an opportunity to teach people how to read an electrical schematic.
